Dixie Peters

Dixie received her bachelor of science in Biology from Texas Christian University and her master of science in Forensic Genetics from the University of North Texas Health Science Center. She worked for seven years as a research assistant in the fields of nephrology, microbial genetics, and human genomics. She shifted to forensic genetics fourteen years ago and is currently the technical leader of the Missing Persons Unit. She specializes in analyzing nuclear, mitochondrial, and Y chromosome DNA from unidentified human remains and family members of missing persons.
